Chris Golden,
Chairman de l‘EFFAS European Bond Commission

Chris Golden has been an active bond and forex market participant for over 30 years, on both the buy-side and the sell-side. He has worked among others on trading desks with Ossie Grubel at Credit Suisse White Weld, John Corzine at Goldman Sachs, and on issuing strategy with Sylvain de Forges at the French Treasury and René Karsenti at the European Investment Bank.

He led the team that created the Lehman Global Government Bond Market Indices, and ran international fixed-income research departments at Lehman and Nomura. Since 1998 he has worked as a consultant for numerous clients, including as chief economist at Fleming Asset Management, senior consultant at UBS, an "expert externe" at Agence France Trésor and advisor to the Finance Director of the EIB.

He is currently chairman of the EFFAS European Bond Commission and of the EFFAS Market Structure Group.

Dr. Annett Baumast
Senior Sustainability Analyst, Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB)

Dr. Annett Baumast, Senior Sustainability Analyst, Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB), has been working as a Sustainability Analyst in Zürcher Kantonalbank’s sustainability research team since 2004. She is responsible for the technology sector, covering telecommunications, hardware and software companies as well as electronic consumer goods.

Annett completed her studies in Business Administration and Economics with a focus on Environmental Management and Sustainability at the University of Hanover in Germany and holds a PhD in Environmental Management from the University of St. Gallen.

She regularly teaches and publishes on sustainability and socially responsible investment.

Marco Curti
Head of Research, Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB)

Marco Curti has been heading the Research Department at Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) since 1991. He introduced the SRI approach into the research process more the 10 years ago at ZKB. Since then, the SRI research team has developed models to cover both equities and bonds and has been involved in the launch of many SRI investment products by the ZKB and other providers.

Marco Curti studied Economic History at the University of Zurich. He was financial analyst and portfolio manager before 1991 and since 2004 he has been chairman of the Swiss Financial Analyst Association (SFAA).

He is a member of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies’ (EFFAS) committee on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), the index committee of the SIX Swiss Exchange and the Swisscanto Investment Advisory Board.

Robert Hauser
Head of Sustainability Research, Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB)

Robert Hauser is Head of the Sustainability Research department of Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB). With his team, he provides the basis for in-house and external sustainable investment products, several of which he has co-launched - for instance Swisscanto Green Invest.

From 1999 to August 2006 he was Deputy Head of the department he now heads, having started his career at ZKB as an environmental analyst in 1998. Robert Hauser graduated from the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) in 1996 with a Master‘s Degree in Environmental Sciences.

Since 2003 he holds an Executive MBA from Zürcher Hochschule Winterthur (ZHW).

Dr. René Nicolodi, CAIA
Senior Sustainability Analyst, Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB)

Dr. René Nicolodi, CAIA, is deputy head of the Sustainability Research department of Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) and has been covering the life science, chemical, building and building supplies sector as a senior analyst since 2002.

He also analyses the performance of sustainable investments and is a lecturer in corporate governance at the University of Applied Sciences for Business Administration Zurich (HWZ). René Nicolodi studied English, Business Administration and European Economic Law at the University of Zurich. During his studies, he gained work experience within the financial services and executive research sector. In 2006, he graduated with a PhD in sustainable pension fund engagement from the University Zurich.

He has been holding the diploma as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) since April 2009.

Prof. François-Serge Lhabitant,
Chief Investment Officer, Kedge Capital Fund Management Ltd.
Professor of Finance, EDHEC Business School and HEC Lausanne

Francois-Serge Lhabitant is the Chief Investment Officer of Kedge Capital Fund Management, a Professor of Finance at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and at the EDHEC Business School (France).

He is the author of several books and articles on alternative investments (hedge funds), quantitative portfolio management and emerging markets (listed on www.lhabitant.net). He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Autorité des Marches Financiers, the French regulatory body.

Prof. Nils Tuchschmid,
Professor of Banking and Finance at Haute Ecole de Gestion (HEG),
University of Applied Sciences in Geneva, Switzerland

Nils Tuchschmid is currently professor of Banking and Finance at Haute Ecole de Gestion (HEG), University of Applied Sciences in Geneva, Switzerland. He is a member of the Swiss Society of Financial Market Research and a lecturer at the University of Zürich and at the Solvay Business School of the Université libre de Bruxelles.

Nils is the author of books and articles on traditional and alternative investments, on portfolio management and on optimal decision making process (http://campus.hesge.ch/tuchschmidn).

Up to 1999, Nils was a professor of Finance at HEC Lausanne. Prior to joining HEG in 2008, Nils worked for various Swiss financial institutions, among other BCV, Credit Suisse and UBS.

Erik Wallerstein,
Research fellow at Haute Ecole de Gestion (HEG),
University of Applied Sciences in Geneva, Switzerland

After finishing a degree in MAS Finance at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and University of Zurich in late 2008, Erik Wallerstein joined as a research fellow at the University of Applied Since in Western Switzerland (HEG).

At HEG he is working together with Professor Nils Tuchschmid on several research projects on hedge funds. Mr. Wallerstein also holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Lund University, Sweden.

Dr. Sassan Zaker,
Manager Alternative Investments at Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd.

Sassan Zaker is a Manager Alternative Investments at Julius Baer. He joined Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. in 2004 as Head Alternative Products and Advisory. He assumed different responsibilities as manger of institutional portfolios in non-traditional mandates. His last responsibility was head of Fund of Hedge Funds.

Before joining Julius he was head Alternative Investments at Swissca Portfolio Management. Before Swissca he managed global macro and derivative style portfolios at Finfunds Management AG for 5 years. He spent the first 5 years of his investment career with UBS trading and sales developing fixed income derivates and trading models for institutional clients.

Sassan Zaker looks back on 16 years of business experience in quantitative analysis, portfolio management and client relationship management. He holds a Masters and PhD. Engineering Degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and is also a CFA charter holder.

Alexander G. Welzl
Chairman of CIC of EFFAS and
Senior Researcher with ECONOMICA

Alexander G. Welzl is the Chairman of the Standing Commission on Intellectual Capital (CIC) of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) based in Frankfurt am Main/Germany. Besides this honorary position on European level he is a Senior Researcher with ECONOMICA – Institute of Economic Research, a Vienna/Austria based think tank. He is also a Member of the Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management (OVFA).

Mr. Welzl is an affiliate of Harvard Business School and was invited to give the HBS Centennial Lecture on Intellectual Capital in Boston in 2008, the year of HBS’ centennial celebrations. He is a frequently invited expert to give presentations and lectures at worldwide leading institutions like World Bank, OECD, European System of Central Banks, University of Oxford/UK, INSEAD/ France, Waseda University/Japan and World New Economy Research Institute/China.

In previous years Mr. Welzl held amongst others positions as internal advisor of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, as Executive Consultant for corporate disclosure and enhanced valuation techniques and as Head of Staff Unit ‘Spin-off and Venture Management’ in Austria’s largest Research and Technology Holding Organisation (Austrian Institute of Technology/AIT, formerly called Austrian Research Centers/ARC).
