Course admission requirements

The course is intended for people who work in the field of financial analysis, asset management or investment counselling, and who have the following academic and/or vocational background:

  • "KV-Lehrabschluss" (Swiss qualification in trade and commerce, commercial certificate) or "Maturität" (Swiss certificate of completion of secondary education qualifying for university entrance, A-Levels) and 5 years of vocational experience; or

  • Bachelor of Sciences and 3 years of professional experience

  • University degree (license or equivalent diploma) and 2 years of vocational experience.

The years of practical experience must have been reached by the time that candidates sit the final examination, not at the beginning of the course.

Note:
In our experience candidates with the following qualifications do not have a sufficient grounding in mathematics. For this reason it is urgently recommended that they attend the induction course in mathematics:

  • "KV-Lehrabschluss" (Swiss qualification in trade and commerce, commercial certificate) or a vocational diploma; or
  • Swiss "Matura" (school-leaving certificate qualifying for university entrance, A-Levels) other than "type C"; or
  • university degree where mathematics has not been among the subjects studied.
