| What are the entry requirements for the courses? | |
Both courses are intended for experts from the financial sector, e.g. people who work in the field of financial analysis, portfolio management or financial counselling. To be admitted to the final examination candidates must have one of the following backgrounds or qualifications:

| Closing date is 30th November | |
| When do the courses start and how long do they take (including the final examination)? | |
| The academic year starts in February and runs until March of the following year, including the examination period. The induction courses already start in December of the preceding year and in January. So you can reckon with a course of 15 months in total. | |
| How much does an AZEK course cost? | |

| Are you allowed to use the corresponding designations after being awarded the diplomas? | |

| What are the requirements for using the diploma designations after one's name? | |

| What happens if people entitled to bear the CIIA or CIWM designations leave the association, or act in contravention of the ethical principles set out in the Handbook of Best Practice and are expelled for this reason? | |
| They forfeit their international diploma and are no longer entitled to use the corresponding designations. | |

| Is it possible to apply to be registered on a course even if one is not currently in employment? | |
| Yes, to prove vocational experience employers' references must be submitted with the registration. | |
| Is the instruction material also available in other languages? | |
| The majority of the documentation is written in English. | |
| Can the course be taken by distance learning? | |
| No, AZEK does not offer distance learning. However, the courses are conducted in the same way as at universities. So there is no obligatory attendance. | |
| Where are the courses held? | |

| On what days are the courses held? | |
| The courses are usually held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. | |
| Can I attend both courses at the same time? | |
| No, it is not possible to attend both courses at the same time as the lectures run parallel. However, the first semester is identical for both courses, so that after the final examination for one course you only have to do another six months to get the second diploma. | |
| Can the course be split over two years? | |
| No, the course lasts one year and cannot be split over two years, even if you have not passed the foundation examination in September or do not even take it. | |
| I would like to change career and work in the financial sector, but do not have the right experience. Can I still attend the course? | |
| In order to be admitted to the examination you must meet the requirements, i.e. by then it is essential that university graduates have one year of vocational experience. All other graduates need three years of vocational experience. | |
| How high is the pass rate? | |
| The pass rate is 60 to 70 percent on average. | |
| What is the difference between the course for financial analysts and portfolio managers/CIIA and the course for experts in finance and investments/CIWM? | |

| What is the difference between the Swiss diploma and the international diploma? | |
| The Swiss diplomas are only recognised in Switzerland, while the international diplomas are recognised in various countries around the whole world. The assessment rules for the international diploma are a little stricter. Further details can be found here. | |
