Where are the examinations held?
In the Congress Centre Kursaal in Interlaken
 
Who are admitted to the examinations?
Candidates with the following backgrounds and/or qualifications:
  • "KV-Lehrabschluss" (Swiss qualification in trade and commerce, commercial certificate) or "Maturität" (Swiss certificate of completion of secondary education qualifying for university entrance, A-Levels) and 5 years of vocational experience; or
  • Bachelor of Sciences and 3 years of professional experience
  • university degree (license or equivalent diploma) 2 years of vocational experience.
The years of practical experience must have been reached by the time that candidates sit the final examination.
 
How much do the examinations cost?
The foundation examination and the final examination cost CHF 3,300 in total
 
How much does it cost to repeat the examination?
Foundation examination or final examination
1 module: CHF 825
2 or 3 modules: CHF 1,650
 
Are you allowed to sit the examination even without having attended the courses?
Yes, but you need the vocational experience mentioned above and the necessary qualifications. In addition, graduates who have not attended the course are not entitled to the international diplomas, CIIA and CIWM.
 
Can I register for just one or two modules?
You always have to register for the full session. It is not possible to take individual modules.
 
Where can I find the registration form for the examination?
As SFAA is the awarding body for the examination, SFAA will send you the registration form while you are on the course. If you want to or need to request it separately, for any reason, please contact SFAA by email .
